Bishop House
Built in 1506 for the Portuguese Governor, the Bishop’s House in Fort Kochi is a stunning example of colonial architecture, featuring Gothic arches and a circular garden path leading to the entrance. Once owned by Dom Jos Gomes Ferreira, the 27th Bishop of the Diocese of Kochi, it reflects the region’s Portuguese influence. Adjacent to the house is the Indo-Portuguese Museum, housing valuable artefacts from various churches, offering a deeper look into Kochi’s religious and cultural history. The peaceful ambiance and historical significance make it a noteworthy landmark in the city.
